WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR MARRIAGE REGISTRATION?

To register a marriage in Georgia, you only need your foreign passports. Simply send us scanned copies of these documents, which we will then translate and notarize. Scanned copies of witnesses’ passports are required only if you wish to have your own witnesses present.
Additional documentation can be discussed with the manager during a consultation..

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGISTERING AT THE HOUSE OF JUSTICE AND THE WEDDING PALACE?

At the House of Justice, you submit your documents and wait for notification. When your documents are ready, you return for the registration. Professional filming is not allowed. Operating hours are Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
The Wedding Palace provides a more festive atmosphere with music and a registrar’s speech. The document submission process is similar, but you can schedule a specific time for the ceremony. Professional filming is permitted. Operating hours are daily, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

HOW TO PREPARE DOCUMENTS FOR APOSTILLE OR LEGALIZATION?

Once the marriage certificate is signed, your marriage is legally recognized in Georgia. The documents can then be submitted for apostille or legalization, depending on the country where the marriage confirmation is needed.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PREPARE THE DOCUMENTS?

The preparation of documents for apostille or legalization takes between 1 to 11 working days, depending on the chosen service package.
